La Onda (The Vibe): This part of Palermo is a bit flashier than other parts of town, but still has that bohemian feel we all associate with Palermo. The radio stations and production studios that conduct their business here have also helped give birth to many fancier parrilla-styled restaurants, higher-end ethnic food and some more upscale bars. These places can really fill up Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, so plan ahead.

Highlights and tips:
-The corner of Niceto Vega and Humbolt is a great place for nightlife
-The corner of Honduras and Fitz Roy is the heart of Palermo Hollywood’s bar scene
-The Buenos Aires flea market, open Tues-Sun 10 am to 7 pm located at Dorrego and Niceto Vega

Attractions: This area is mainly known for its production studios (film, TV and radio) and the nightlife that follows suit. Many of Palermo’s trendier restaurants, bars and clubs reside in this neighborhood. Strolling about in search of a restaurant or bar will yield many results here.

The corner of Niceto Vega and Humboldt is a must-visit along with the center of Palermo Hollywood. It may not have a lot of attractions, but you will more than likely end up having drinks or a meal in this sub-neighborhood at some point during your time in Buenos Aires.

A visit to the Buenos Aires flea market is a unique thing to do. A massive mixture of furniture and randomness gives visitors a sense of what was once fashionable, what will be fashionable again and some odd finds. A photographers paradise- be sure to ask permission* (“Puedo tomar fotos?”).
