LPBA Recommendation: By far and away, La Guitarrita is my favorite place in Buenos Aires to grab a slice of delicious pizza. Choose from the extensive list of toppings for your pizza, and to order a slice of faina de cebolla (a sort of chickpea bread with delicious onions baked in and served in wedges) and a penguino de tino (a penguin-shaped carafe of house wine) to accompany your delicious pie.

LPBA Recommendation: One of the most well-known parrilla restaurants in Las Canitas, Campo Bravo attracts a long line of people every night. The outdoor seating contains a mix of people who love the scene, people who want to be seen and celebrities (we have seen a few here including the famous Argentinean chocolate tycoon Ricardo Ford– he’s pretty short in real life).

LPBA Recommendation: The Office has quickly gained street cred as the best burgers in town. A nice variety of burgers with some unique twists, theme nights with guest chefs on Tuesdays, 1/2 off Mondays and a great upstairs open air terrace where they sometimes show classic movies like Indiana Jones or Back to the Future. Cool place to grab some beers.

LPBA Recommendation: The top restaurant in Buenos Aires for Northern Argentinean cuisine plus a nice parrilla selection. Lentil stews with chunks of chorizo sausage, corn leaf wrapped tamales with beef and onion, beef and potato pies baked in clay pots- it’s hard to choose unwisely here. Massive line around 9:15 pm every night. Show up early or late*.
