Address: Hipólito Yrigoyen 219, and Balarce
Subte: Line D, Catedral; Line C, Peru; Line E, Bolivar

Hours: M-F 10am-6pm, Su 2pm-6pm

Summary: Much like the White House in Washington, D.C., the Casa Rosada serves as the administrative seat of the executive branch of the Argentine National Government, as well as the home to the President. It is said that it first took on its pink hue after painters mixed cow’s blood with white paint, in an effort to prevent humidity damage to the building.

LandingPadBA.com Recommendation: Definitely stop by the Casa Rosada. Soon the Casa Rosada Museum will be opening up a new exhibit of old building foundations from the original Customs House that onc stood in this location. The catacomb-like remnants of yesteryear are sure to be interesting, at the very least.
