They only have ultra heat treated milk here — which ruins the cafe con leche.

BA has some of the best coffee in world. It's hard to find a place with bad coffee. Love the cafe con leche!

Tony, what are you saying? You are surely referring to American chain-store coffee served up in malls. Argentina coffee is just so good ! It is an experience and the taste is simply sinful. And don't get me started on Gelattos !

I prefer the small cups but I don't like the quality of the coffee here. It's always low grade coffee, toasted with sugar to disguise the bitter taste of cheap beans. Generally extremely strong and flavorless (I drink it black so I taste it – not the milk and sugar).

Hey, I´m Adrian, from Argentina, I loved your posting : ) It´s true, we have all kind of conversations and meeting with a cup of coffe in any restaurant or coffe shop (specially with medialunas ) But always remember that the coffe culture in Argentina is only in Buenos Aires, and in the City, outside you can drink as much Mate as you like, and never get tired
