Buenos Aires Bad Story

Damn Motochorros!

A bad Buenos Aires story by one of our readers who was robbed

Victim: Me, (Anonymous request)

Culprit: Motochorros (Thieves on motorcycle)

Approximate Location: Saavedra, near Belgrano

The skinny: My girlfriend and I were sitting in a park, enjoying a bottle of wine and taking pictures, just sort of lost in our own world. We were about 100 meters from the street and about 75 meters from the only other people in the park- a cameraman, host and a person being interviewed.

Out of my peripheral I see a guy, dressed in knock-off athletic gear, ball cap, closing the gap of about 10 meters, walking straight toward us.  He approaches, reveals what looks to be a gun? And demands the camera. He tells us to put in the backpack and doesn’t ask for my wallet or watch!? Weird, he seemed more nervous than me.

He quickly jogs across the park to the group filming the interview and steals the video camera from the cameraman without the interviewer or person being interviewed even noticing until it was too late!

A motorcycle comes flying up on the street and the thief hops on the back and that was it. They were gone. Goodbye Nikon. I will miss your memory card most of all.

Wow! Don't forget to check the 'Activities you might like' right here

I hope they don’t steal your other readers; no one will be left to complain about your copy editor.
