LPBA Recommendation: If you’re looking for a place to get your drink on after a day at the beach in Punta, Moby Dick is a sure bet. With a large outdoor patio complete with couches, and two seperate rooms, there’s plenty of space to lounge and meet new people. A small stage in the back room hosts live music acts, but even when there’s no performace the place is pumping great tunes. Though it’s definitely not a dance club, don’t be afraid to bust some moves if the mood strikes. The two large wooden bars give the ambiance of an Irish pub, and the patrons downing beers and whiskey cokes don’t fight the feeling. Service is friendly, but when the bar gets packed expect a wait and a few elbows on your way to the bar. Watch out when it rains — a slightly leaky roof might offer an unwanted shower!

Map: Unfortunately, Google doesn’t recognize that Uruguay has roads. Please click “Satellite” below to view Punta del Este as it is.
