See one of the most talented Argentinean primera league teams in action, Velez Sarsfield.
A 10 title division holder and 5 time international cup holder (Copa Libertadores and Intercontinental Cup), Velez Sarsfield is often one of the most overlooked Argentinean futbol clubs. In the past 10 years they have been a consistent top ranked team and have defeated the more well known clubs consistently. If you are seeking good, quality Argentinean futbol then Velez is the team to see.
Their stadium known as “El Fortin” (“the fort”) seats close to 50,000 people and can really get loud when facing larger clubs like San Lorenzo, Boca Juniors or River Plate. The elite fans known as “Fortineros” (or fort people) flock to the stadium in Liniers (West Buenos Aires) and on some occasions invite those that are interested to parade into the stadium with them in their “murga” (carnaval like parade).

FAQ: Where is the stadium?
Velez's stadium is in Liniers, a neighborhood on the edge of the main city. It is about 35 minutes from Palermo, 45 minutes from Recoleta.
FAQ: Will be able to enter the stadium with the muraga (elite fans)?
This really depends on the game, the current minister of security's rules/regulations and whether the offer is open from the elite fans. Just ask and we'll cross our fingers. It happens 2-3 times per season.
