Tuesday, August 23rd:
-The Buenos Aires Tango Festival and the Dance World Cup (August 16-30). Tons of free concerts, tango dance shows both open to the public and choreographed, tango lessons and more. Please see the tango festival schedule to find out what is going on when. The 29th and 30th Luna Park will host the quarter finals to the championship of the Dance World Cup. Tickets available for free the day before and of at the respective locations.

Wednesday, August 24th:
Your last day for free ice skating! The Buenos Aires Ministry of Public Space has opened a free, open air ice skating rink to the public running until August 24th. Hours everyday run between 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and then reopen at 2:00 pm and run until 9:00 pm. Free skates provided in exchange for your passport or DNI. 30 minutes max per person. Plaza Uruguay, located at the corner of Libertador y Figueroa Alcorta in Recoleta. No “trencitos” of more than 2 people though!
-Join BAFA Football Amigos and play with travelers, expats, students and locals alike on Wednesday. Five-a-side football matches organized by BAFA. Matches starting at 7pm and 8pm at Soler 3231. Cost is $25 pesos per game.
-A special series of concerts will be taking place in the beautiful Palacio Paz on Santa Fe 750 in downtown Buenos Aires. The first show will be classical music by Chopin and Mozart at 7:00 pm: Fantasy in C Minor KV 475, Sonata in C Minor KV 457 (Mozart) – 24 Preludes Op 28 (Chopin). Tickets for the first 5 rows are $120 pesos, rows 6-20 are $80 pesos and all back sections are $50 pesos. Reservations can be made at telephone 4311 – 1071 in Spanish or you can show up 45 minutes before the show to make purchases.

Friday, August 26th:
-Gallery Nights will be running from 7:00 pm until 12:00 midnight. Over 65 museums, antique shops, art galleries, cultural centers and showrooms will participate by opening their doors for free, offering free Chandon champagne. Free transportation is provided circulating around Barrio Norte, Recoleta and Retiro neighborhoods making it possible to see multiple locations. Saturday, August 27th:
