This private tour will introduce you to the Jewish community of Buenos Aires within the larger context of both Argentine and Jewish history. Learn about the Sephardic crypto-Jews who were essential in the establishment, viability and growth of colonial Buenos Aires in the 16th and 17th centuries. Explore the immigration process of Eastern European Jews at the end of the 19th and early part of the 20th century and their settlement in the Jewish colonies, where they became the famous “Jewish Gauchos”.
