In the past 10 years they have been a regularly top ranked team and have defeated the more well known clubs consistently. Their stadium known as “El Fortin” (“the fort”) seats close to 50,000 people and can really get loud when facing larger clubs like San Lorenzo, Boca Juniors or River Plate. The elite fans known as “Fortineros” (or fort people) flock to the stadium in Liniers (West Buenos Aires) and on some occasions invite those that are interested to parade into the stadium with them in their “murga” (carnaval like parade).
