Avg. Price (from Guía Óleo): $28

LPBA Recommendation: From their large wood-burning oven, the cooks at Cumaná present some of the best and reasonably priced regional Argentine cuisine that Buenos Aires has to offer. While the menu also sports more of the typical fare, you can’t go wrong with the locro (a traditional meat stew complete with hominy, lima beans, sausage, bacon and roast beef) or the cazuela de calabaza (a baked casserole of pumpkin and corn covered in melted, honey-soaked cheese). And don’t forget to order either one of their delicious salads or a slice of faina (a thick and dense chickpea pancake) to accompany your entrée.
